Why OHC
The highest quality!
Specializing in mesenchymal stem cells derived from the umbilical cord (Wharton’s jelly) of 0-year-old babies
01
Of the many types of cells (fat, bone marrow, umbilical cord), we specialize in mesenchymal stem cells derived from Wharton’s jelly, which have the highest safety and most active stem cells!
OHC is collaborating with the research institute that has acquired a patent for the first in Malaysia for the cultivation process of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) harvested from umbilical cords and that boasts the best quality in the country.
Research and quality control cost billions of yen, but the OHC collaborating laboratory has obtained a quality control license and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice: standards for the manufacturing management and quality control of pharmaceuticals and quasi-drugs), and is able to provide safe and secure stem cells under thorough management.
Partnership with a GMP pharmaceutical company that is certified by Malaysian government.

Certificate for a BioNexus status by Bioeconomy Development Corporation.

This is proof that we have been recognized as a promising bio company in Malaysia. We are exempt from taxes on raw materials and equipment, and are also granted other tax exemptions and freedom to obtain funding sources. As a result, we are able to make substantial capital investments and handle the latest technologies.
98% activation survival rate!
If the cells are not frozen, they will die over time unless they are administered immediately after being cultured. Therefore, we freeze the cells immediately after culturing them, and then thaw them on the day of the therapy to maintain their freshness. In addition, by administering the cells within 8 hours of thawing, it is possible to administer them while they are still fresh, with a stem cell survival rate of over 98%!

Number of stem cells is over 100 million
In Japan, there is no regulation on the number of cells administered at one time. Because of this, the number of cells cultured based on the cells harvested from the patient varies from 10 million to 100 million. On the other hand, in Malaysia, the guidelines for obtaining national certification stipulate that the number of stem cells for IV drip used in regenerative medicine should be at least 100 million. It is said that the higher the number of cells administered at one time, the greater the effect, but when comparing 100 million cells with 200 million cells, there is little difference in the results of the verification. For this reason, we recommend a plan of 100 million cells.
Number of times cultured up to 2 times
The stem cells used for IV drip are stem cells that have been harvested, cultured and multiplied, and the original stem cells are preserved and reused. There are no regulations in Malaysia and Japan regarding the number of times these reused cells can be cultured. The majority of hospitals and laboratories reuse the cells as many times as possible provided that they can be increased through cultivation. Repeated cultivation inevitably reduces the number of healthy, fresh cells. The stem cells we handle have a unique rule that limits the number of times for cultivation up to 2, so that we can always provide fresh, high-quality stem cells.

Administration Method
In order to administer the stem cells without any waste, a side-tube IV drip method is used rather than a general IV drip. With a side-tube IV drip, the drug is directly infused into the blood vessels, allowing the stem cells to quickly spread throughout the body, thereby enhancing their effectiveness. Compared to an IV drip of the stem cells, an IV drip through a side-tube places less strain on the blood vessels, and reduces the risk of inflammation and vascular disorders. With a standard drip, a small amount of the IV drip solution remains in the tube. Therefore, we use a side-tube IV drip that allows us to administer the stem cells without any wastage.

Stringent quality control
In order to maintain high quality, 7 tests are conducted, including proliferative ability and survival rate, and a stem cell quality certificate is issued to the patient before administration. By outsourcing 2 of the 7 tests to a third-party organization, safety is also ensured.
Thanks to our stringent quality control, we are able to maintain a stem cell viability rate of over 98%, and to date there have been no cases of tumorigenesis, embolism, or infection in OHC's stem cell therapy!

National Certification! Donor Management System
Our donor management system is the only one in Malaysia to have been certified by a national agency as a safe system.
In this system, pregnant women who will become donors and their families are asked to undergo tests for infectious diseases, etc. in advance. We obtain the consent of the prospective donors and their family members for these preliminary tests and the collection of stem cells. In addition, in order to harvest high quality cells, we only request donors from pregnant women who are scheduled to give birth by caesarean section. We never harvest cells from the umbilical cord that is no longer needed after a normal delivery. Therefore, cells will not be harvested without the donor’s consent. Thanks to this donor management system, you can use high-quality, safe mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) for your therapy with peace of mind.
